I think poor Pixie looks a little bit mobbed!!! I loved the way they were all sprawled over her so had to grab these few shots!

Yum!! What's this??

Today I realised that as the Quads were 4 weeks old it was about time they started on solid food. The twins, Lightening and Gabby took to it like well......kittens to kitten food! They dove right in and ate and ate and ate and ate!! Lightening came and ate, then left, then came and ate some more, but Little Miss Pilchard point blank refused. She stuck her paw in the bowl and then shook it furiously as she didn't want mucky paws!! She's not even sniffed it, never mind eaten any. Last year their half sister Poorly refused to eat for weeks so we're used to food refusing kittys around here.

Ed is very proud of the kittens for eating their tea so nicely!

4 kittens are 4 weeks old!!!!!

My name is Lightening the cutieful and I am terribly, terribly cute!!
My eye is all better and I am having fun being out of the box and exploring.King is on the prowl again!!! I could NOT get a pic of this little scamp head on!!! Look at me smiling!! I have a real catty grin already.
Gabby is experimenting with what happens when you get too close to the edge of the sofa! Thank goodness for claws which stop you falling off the edge!
I spy with my little eyes....something worth pouncing on!
Pilchard is also enjoying getting to grips with the big wide world, she's usually found with her sister Gabby!
What a serious face! Does this mean that we've got a mouser in our midst?

While Tween snoozes, that naughty Jim takes the opportunity to sneak some of his tea!!
Oh dear Jim, caught red pawed!!

Cumbria continued!!

Now we are 12 we have to look serious in photos and not like a smiling child!!
Tween is modeling his new T-shirt from Granny and his drainpipes and hoody from Mum and Dad.
Cool hoodie!
On Tuesday we went to the Cumberland Pencil Museum in Keswick. Here is Tween next to the gorgeous old works van.
Here is Tween with the how tall are you pencil holding his free pencil in his hand.

In which Mum and Tween go to Cumbria....

As it was the birthday of the Tween he and I trotted gaily off to Cumbria to see Granny and Grampy. I am in fact posting this from there thanks to the joys of wireless broadband.
Here is Tween showing that Virgin trains are a good place to read Kerrang..

Tween looking unamused at the suggestion that he smile sweetly for the camera..

Showing the love of the trolley. Trolley was, as always a faithful assistant and loved seeing the big wide world.
On Monday we took a trip on the Ullswater steamer. It was a beautiful day and after all my whining at Tween to take a coat, he didn't need it.

Afterwards we climbed up to Aira Force (the water fall)
It was a lovely walk and the falls were stunning.

On the walk back from the falls we found this fallen tree with 'things' sticking in it. It transpired that they were coins which someone had quite deliberately hammered into it....
Very cool, but rather odd.

Out of the Box!!!

Lightening says "Look! My eye is all better!! And just in time for me to explore!"

Gabby

King is already working on his prowl.

Hmmm, whats Grandad doing with that piece of string? Are we supposed to catch it?

"I'll go this way, you go that way and we'll head em off at the pass..."

Looking shocked, but still stunning!

Girlie chat time for Gabby and Pilchard.

It's nearly Easter!

It was Easter bonnet parade day at school today and I was amazed that Bean was keen to take part. Then again, I think I scored major points by finding him a cowboy style 'bonnet'!!!
You can't actually see the decoration on the bonnet as it's all on the brim, so I'll try and take some close ups, but here he is parading for the parents in the playground.
It was a gorgeous day, coats off it was so warm and the school laid on free Easter nest cakes and squash for the kids, and 20p cups of coffee for the parents! Splendid. It was a great way to spend the afternoon school pick up.
